Well, in this case, it's more like re-playing:
- Growlanser V (re-starting because I seriously need to go back and level my characters up)
- Dragon Age 2 (because I'm bored)
- Fallout: New Vegas (in honor of the new DLC that's about to drop)
- Devil Summoner 2 (I went with Law last time, now I'm going for Chaos. I also want to finish the sidequest)
- Nier (no real reason, I just want to play it again to remind myself that games don't need a huge budget to be good)
Yet another blog in which someone talks about their likes and dislikes in regards to fandom. But hey, this one has pictures! Everyone loves pictures, right?

Where da' fanart yo?
![]() |
| Wesker is not amused with this bullshit |
Why is it so hard to find Resident Evil: Code Veronica fanart? Or, more specifically, Wesker/Alexia fanart. Am I the only one who noticed the intense sexual tension? Well, that might have been pure hatred, but it's not like canon matters when it comes to fanart.
My rant on Piracy, because I'm tired of paying $60 to be a beta tester (short version)
Hey game developers, don't want me* people to pirate your games?
THEN STOP PUTTING OUT SHITTY GAMES THAT AREN'T WORTH MY 60 DOLLARS!!!
Sorry game companies, but if you think I'm going to continue shelling out $60+ for games that are filled with more bugs than a mausoleum or last only 6-to-8 hours, then you are clearly on some illegal substances. Telling the consumer to "save more" or forcing them to wait for a patch to fix mistakes that should have been picked up by a beta tester is complete and utter bullshit. It's the same as a car dealer selling someone a lemon and then charging them to fix the car.
Want people to buy games? Then start making enjoyable games. And by "enjoyable games", I don't mean ten thousand Call of Duty rip-offs Or Final Fantasy Duex Ex XXIIIXIX. Is it too much to ask for some new IPs, and not just sequel after sequel? Oh, and quit with the HD remakes, especially when said game has been "re-made" (read: ported) ten billions times. I'm talking 'bout you Resident Evil 4.
Also, if piracy = stealing, then buying used games from a yard sale also equals stealing. Hell, buying used at all is basically the same as stealing, especially if you're buying from Gamestop. Or do people actually believe that the game companies are benefitting from places like Gamestop?
Protip: If they were, gaming companies wouldn't be putting so much interest in digital downloads (which will make things easier to pirate. Go gaming companies!)
Oh, and one last thing, stop comparing piracy to beating up old ladies and stealing cars. Comparing a person downloading a movie or video game to a violent mugger or carjacker? Stay classy, mofos~
* No, I am not a pirate. Don't hit on me you silly coppers~

In which a hentai dating sim becomes a horror game...
Like most people playing Artificial Academy, the cheesy 70s style porno music just was not doing it for me. The music that plays during the sex scenes is even worse. So, because of that, I decided to download a music mod. I wasn't going to touch the Rance one with a ten-foot pole (music was decent, but I wouldn't touch the Sengoku Rance games with another man's hands, let alone my own), so I downloaded the Persona 4 music mod.
Most awesomest and worst decision I have ever made.
Not saying I hate the music. I love the music. Shoji Meguro = awesome. But holy shit is some of it just downright creepy. Especially the music that plays whenever a tense/cautious moment occurs (which happens a lot). It never seemed that creepy in the actual game, but for some reason the creepiness factor is plus ten.
Now, on to how I made the game into a horror game.
Basically, I got tired of creating moe-moe characters, and decided to upload a class in which every student had the "evil" personality trait. I figured, what the hell, let's give it a try. What's the worse that could happen?
I soon found out twenty minutes in when I was caught off guard by a female scream and the screen going completely red. For a few minutes I wasn't sure what happened. The red screen eventually disappeared and I was returned to the screen of the character's bedroom. Upon checking the student roster, I discovered that two characters were gone (my gray-haired character Mina who had the "tense personality" and a brown haired male with the "manly personality"). Their pictures had been replaced with a vase with flowers in it (the guy) and a pair of handcuffs (Mina).
It only got worse from there. Soon, there were five dead classmates and five arrested classmates. One of the most bizarre cases was when my Austria (from Hetalia) clone was murdered by a guy that had just recently accepted his love confession.
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, the murders aren't shown, usually you just hear a woman scream (even if the victim is male its the same scream) and the screen goes red. I hear that it's slightly different if the character you are using is stabbed (and they can only be the victim. You can't go stabbing anyone manually in this game), but still, there is no actual stabbing scenes.
I'm kind of thankful for that.
But there you have it. What was once a normal hentai slice-of-life dating sim has now become a horror game full of ticking time bombs just waiting to happen. So, in other words, it's pretty much exactly like my old high school.

Pretty Picture Time!
I don't know if this is a mod or not, but holy shit that picture is a mass amount of Do Want!
The only thing that's missing from that outfit is the nipple rings.

Now Playing: Artificial Academy
Whelp, I sure did soapbox all over the last post, didn't I? Well don't worry, this post will contain 0% soapboxing, because this post is about:
ARTIFICIAL ACADEMY
Ahem, so anyway, I recently downloaded Artificial Academy (yet another glorious game by Illusion), and boy am I having a blast. Sure, it might not have a story, or any real game play whatsoever, but that's besides the point. What makes this game awesome for me is the character maker. Which is what I've been mostly doing. So far I've created over thirty characters (the game allows you to "enroll" 25 of them in the academy).
Basically the game play is this: You choose a character to main, then run around talking to the other students. The "day" is broken up into four segments and the character can do group activities (such as studying, eating lunch, practicing for club activities, and walking home together) in order to build up friendships/relationships. There are other options such as "insult someone" or "pick a fight", so if you want to play a character that is a complete prick, this game allows you to do that too.
One thing I like about the game is that the characters all have wills of their own. It's not like Artificial Girl 3 where the girls just waited for the main character to show up and have sex with them. In AA the other characters form their own relationships (or their own enemies) and actually do stuff besides just stand around. For instance, I checked my roster and discovered that two of the male characters had fallen in love with each other. I was pretty thrilled to discover that because I had been certain that gay relationships would have to be done manually. Still sucks that there are no gay male sex scenes though. (the kissing/fondling/hugging options are available, but clicking the "let's have sex" button just causes the screen to fade to black)...the only thing giving me hope is the rumor that there will be an expansion/add-on that allows for gay male sex.
As I mentioned, the characters can form their own relationships, and depending on what traits they have, this can also lead to them having sex in the weirdest places. Like when my character was running to meet up with a friend, she passed by a couple having sex in the courtyard.
It's also a lot of fun to just observe the NPCs. You can usually tell which characters have hooked up, or are about to hook up, because they will always run off together to some not-so-secret location. I also observed a lot of fights. One of my characters, some pink-haired girl with the "casual" personality trait was getting her ass kicked on the roof while surrounded by a group of girls. I don't know if it was a glitch or what (the 'her constantly being beaten up' part, fighting is a pretty normal thing in the game), but it was certainly weird.
However, despite my love for the game, there are still some things that make me go all sadface. For one, the option to change their clothing has been taken out. In AG3 the player could choose what clothes the girls wear, but I guess that because this is a school setting, all the students have to wear uniforms. It still sucks though. Another thing that makes me sad, as mentioned earlier, is the lack of man-on-man sex scenes. I also wish that there were more places to visit. The girls make mention of going to a coffee shop or going shopping sometimes, so I think it would be nice if there had been an option to make them go to a mall or something (like how AG3 had the eerily empty little town area).
Oh, and another thing that makes me sad is the lack of customization for the males. First off, the males only get four body four body types (normal, tall, thin, and fat), and you can't customize their body like you can the females. Then they only get four personalities (soft (speaks in a soft girlish voice and is kind of like the male equivalent of the humble personality trait), eloquent (character is basically a friendly guy...I was expecting it to be snobbish or high class), violent (character basically acts like a self-absorbed jerk), and manly (character has a deep voice and tends to speak in short sentences like a caveman).
Still, I'm happy that the option to create males and allow them to form relationships was included, and hopefully it carries over into AG4.
